Original Italian issue from 1968 of the frantic Love Sculpture instrumental based on Khatchaturian's 1942 orchestral piece. Although many youngsters at the time (including myself) thought that this was the first non-classical version, it had in fact been covered many times by acts as diverse as loungecore maestro Les Baxter, Liberace and Britain's very own King Brothers.
Dave Edmunds' blistering axe work, complemented by John David's breakneck bass and "Congo" Jones' powerhouse drumming, propelled the UK version into the British charts where it reached #5 in late 1968.
This release has a large centre hole, numerous minor surface marks NAP and a p/s which has ringwear and a retailer's sticker (1cm. x 2cm.) on the front. For nearly 50 years old, still in very decent shape.
