Issued in 1987 on the Reception record label, "My Favourite Dress" was the Wedding Present's 5th UK single release and the last one not to chart before a run of chart successes started in 1988. Did the Weddoes ever make a bad record? Very few, if any, failed to bring absolute joy to me. B/w "Every Mother's Son" and "Never Said", this single is up there with the best of them. Long live David Gedge!
