1966 self-penned release by maverick genius Lee Hazlewood. The A-side is a fine example of his wry compositions, but the release is perhaps more notable for the B-side, his version of "These Boots Are Made For Walking". It was issued later in the same year that Nancy Sinatra had reached #1 on the Billboard chart, in the UK and in many other countries with her version. It comes in its original MGM company sleeve, the A-side is almost flawless, the B-side has some light surface marks NAP from insertion and extraction from the sleeve; both sides have a lovely sheen.
Top class accompaniment was provided by The Wrecking Crew, including Hal Blaine, Carol Kaye, Plas Johnson, Al Casey, Tommy Tedesco, Billy Strange but will surely always be associated with Chuck Berghofer's slinky and sinuous double bass.
