Before issuing such self-indulgent tripe as 'Do the Funky Chicken', Rufus Thomas was a crucial figure on the music scene of the southern states of America, releasing top-quality records such as 'Bear Cat' for Sun records and a series of early 60's crackers for Stax studios including this great double-sider which was issued in the UK on the black Atlantic label. Condition is VG and comes in a plain white sleeve. There is a 1.5cm tear on the A-side label.
