Classic by Buddy Holly (with songwriting credit also given to Norman Petty) "Not Fade Away" covered here to great effect by The Rolling Stones, giving them their highest UK chart placing to date, reaching #3 in 1964. The accent was definitely on a Bo Diddley-style beat, with tambourines and tom-toms well to the fore.
This has some sticker residue on the A-side label, though the vinyl on both sides (B/W "Little By Little") plays well with very minor surface marks. B-side has the first label credit to 'Phelge', one of the assumed names for The Stones publishing credits and also has a credit for Phil Spector.
