"You had to be there at the time", an oft-quoted phrase to try to explain the impact that certain bands or genres had on record buyers in the past. Never was that more pertinent in the 1970's than with Roxy Music. Brilliant music and a look that, for the time, had to be seen to be believed - it certainly upset Bob Harris on The Old Grey Whistle Test, bless him - they were absolutely spellbinding to their fans. This, their debut single, reached #4 in the UK charts in 1972 and deservedly so. Some barely visible surface marks NAP and this comes in its original Island label pink sleeve. Production credit given to ex-King Crimson stalwart Pete Sinfield.
