Wayne Fontana, one of Manchester's finest pop exponents, got to #16 in the UK charts in 1966 with this fine cover of the well-known Jackie Edwards tune. To add to your listening pleasure the B-side is a fine piece of pop penned by one G. Ellis, called "My eyes break out in tears", which in itself is 'worth the price of admission'. Numerous surface marks but plays through ok, comes in an original Fontana sleeve and is a bargain at this price.
Trivia Fact 1. G Ellis composer of the B-side was in fact Glyn Ellis, who was actually Fontana himself.
Trivia Fact 2. Guitar on these sessions was played by Frank Renshaw, previously of Stockport's Toggery Five.
