"Trambone" by The Krewkats is the first of their 2 collectable 45's issued on HMV in 1961 (along with "Samovar" in 1962) The band comprised ex-members of Marty Wilde's Wildcats, Big Jim Sullivan (lead), future Shadows Brian Bennett (drums) and Licorice Locking (bass) and Tony Belcher (rhythm). The A-side is a good cover of the Chet Atkins composition but its the B-side "Peak Hour", penned by Sullivan that really hits the spot. The record reached #33 in the UK singles chart; this copy retains a good sheen and is VG+ on both sides, the cover is a new HMV repro.
