Just to demonstrate that chart success isn't everything (apart from the potential of untold riches for the artiste, of course), Gene McDaniels never had a single chart entry in the UK. He did have 7 entries in the Billboard chart up to 1962, though his best record, the much sought-after "Walk With A Winner" wasn't one of them. As an example of how respected McDaniels was by his fellow musicians, this Goffin and King composition "The Point Of No Return" was later covered very nicely by Georgie Fame.
On this version backing is provided by The Johnny Mann Singers who provided the accompaniment on many of Liberty's late 50's and early 60's recordings for Johnny Burnette, Eddie Cochran and the post-Holly Crickets. The B-side is a Sammy Cahn / Jimmy Van Heusen composition "Warmer Than A Whisper".
There are some light surface marks NAP, otherwise the vinyl is very clean and the disc comes in its original Liberty sleeve.
