One of the very best and most sought-after Doo-Wop records this site will ever have for sale, The Dubs first UK release 'Could This Be Magic'. The band at that time consisted of Richard Blandon on lead vocals, Cleveland Still and Billy Carlisle, first & second tenors, James (aka Jake) Miller the baritone and Tommy Grate the bass singer. Grate had replaced the original bass singer Thomas Gardner earlier in 1957. Although this was the first 45 of theirs issued in the UK they had had a single released in the U.S. prior to this, 'Don't Ask Me To Be Lonely'.
This has a tri-centre and silver label lettering; the vinyl has a few very light surface marks which do not affect play. The sleeve is the generic London label company sleeve (blue with white stripes and lettering). An absolute and utter gem which is offered up well below the 'book' price.
