A great British Rock & Roll novelty instrumental double-sider. Featured regularly as the house band on Jack Good's 'Oh Boy' TV series this debut release from 1958 conveys all the trademarks of the combo (including Benny Green and Red Price on saxes); it surprisingly failed to chart. The vinyl has a number of light surface marks NAP and the original company sleeve is is very reasonable shape.
Did you know that 11 years later the leader, Harry Robinson, arranged the strings accompaniment to 'River Man' on Nick Drake's "Five Leaves Left"?
