Lovely piece of Memphis Deep Soul from 1968 on a UK Stax issue from William Bell. Co-composed by the singer and Booker T. Jones (who also produced both sides), "I forgot to be your lover" b/w "Bring the curtain down", these demonstrate Bell at the height of his considerable powers. There are numerous surface marks NAP (though there is still some sheen on the vinyl) and the label has a degree of staining but the bargain price reflects this. Comes in a plain white sleeve.
