Hello . . .
. . . and welcome to Sounds Quite Reasonable. My name is Ian McFee and I have been a music fan and record enthusiast since I was a small boy. After finding myself redundant in 2011, I thought I would use my time disposing of the surplus records (and other music-related items) in my collection on a website which would be more than just a place for record sales. The site was set up in 2012 and was just starting to take off when the host server in whom the site security was entrusted, deleted the site in its entirety. With the rebuilding work almost completed, I can now say 'Welcome back to you all'!
I don't profess to be an expert in any particular field, but I'm happy to share the knowledge I have accrued in over four decades of listening to, watching, reading about and collecting music of many generations and genres.
In order to get as much stock as possible loaded up as soon as possible, you will find that many records have no accompanying notes; these will be added when a 'healthy' stock level has been attained. Should you require further information on any particular item please e-mail me and I will respond giving as much detail as I can. Gradings are generally in line with the UK Rare Record Price Guide condition matrix or the US Goldmine reference books.
All articles are copyright of the authors and I hereby express my thanks to any contributors who permit the display of their work on this site.
In a short time I will be offering a 'record finder' service; more details will be announced nearer the time but get your thinking caps on - what are you looking for and how much will you pay for it? Details to follow!
I hope you find the site interesting and if so, please remember to bookmark it or scan the QR code box to the left - y'all come back now, y'hear!
